NAPL Issues Call for Entries For 2013 Marketing Plus™ Awards
Winners for self-promotional marketing in print and alternate media will be honored at the Association’s annual Soderstrom Awards dinner in Chicago on Sept. 7.
East Rutherford, N.J. (April 4, 2013)―The National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL) has issued a Call for Entries for its 2013 Marketing Plus™ Awards program. The competition is open to all self-promotional marketing initiatives executed by industry companies between June 1, 2012, and May 31, 2013. Deadline for entries is June 14, 2013.
“The creativity, craftsmanship, and results achieved by last year’s Marketing Plus Award winners showcased the incredible advancements printers have made in marketing their own services in recent years,” says NAPL President and Chief Executive Officer Joseph P. Truncale, Ph.D. “We anticipate even more exciting and imaginative entries in our 2013 competition as companies continue to push the boundaries of print and other media.”
Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Honorable Mention awards will be presented in each of 12 marketing categories, including such diverse areas as market research, data management, website, direct mail, customer/community events, vertical markets, lead generation, and corporate identity. Awards will be presented in two entry levels: Companies with sales of $2 million or less (Level 1) and companies with sales above $2 million (Level 2).
Judging criteria include not only the creativity, design, visual appeal, and production quality of each entry, but the marketing plan, methods of execution, and evaluation of results. Companies may enter in as many categories as they like and may submit multiple entries in the same category. Entry fees for Level 1 are $50 per entry; three entries or more, $40 per entry. Fees for Level 2: $75 per entry; three entries or more, $60 per entry.
Awards will be presented at NAPL’s annual Soderstrom Awards dinner at the University of Chicago’s Gleacher Center on Sept. 7, immediately preceding the Sept. 8-12 PRINT 13 show. “We know that companies large and small are producing innovative high-quality marketing materials and campaigns that are gaining great results,” says Truncale. “We urge them to enter them into the Marketing Plus competition and seize an opportunity for industry-wide recognition during the biggest graphic communications event in North America.”
