The Smithsonian’s National Postal Museum, located in Washington, D.C. just steps from the U.S. Capitol, is setting the stage to tell the complete story of the USPS/ America’s Mailing Industry – past, present and future. The USPS/mailing industry is over 250 years old and is comprised of public and private companies that create, produce and ship mail and/or parcels as the core of their business operations.

For the first time ever, the museum will create a dedicated website to explore how the USPS/mailing industry has impacted—and continues to impact—the United States communication and commerce channels and will celebrate the industry innovators and pioneers.  The website will begin to tell the story of the industry’s importance to the national economy, societal impact and contributions to sustainability, the environment and recycling.

The industry specific website will be part of the museum’s robust website that receives over 3 million annual visits from over 150 countries.   The website will radically increase the public’s awareness of and understanding of the significance of the mailing industry and its impact on the country.

The website is the first step towards creating an onsite exhibit at the National Postal Museum.

You can be a part of this exciting new project and help ensure that the past, present and future of the USPS/mailing industry is captured and recorded at the Smithsonian Institution.   A partnership with the Smithsonian will allow you to strengthen your brand awareness and legacy.
