The Zone

Is your company in “the zone”, everyone working together to reach and surpass your stated objectives, having fun while doing great work? Or is your company in “a zone”, struggling to meet the needs of the organization, working hard but not getting the results that you need?

There’s a huge difference between these two conditions and worse yet, it can be difficult to objectively identify which zone your business really is in. It’s hard because at times you are just too close to the action, you’re in the trenches everyday and it’s difficult to work on the business when you’re knee-deep in the business. If you find that the only time you have serious discussions about the business is when you are standing in front of the mirror, maybe you need some help.

Working on the business takes time, discipline and focus. It often means stepping out of your comfort zone. Chances of being in “the zone” can increase when you get help from outside of your company, participate in a peer group or have a business advisory group. Give it a try, the positive results are worth it.
